Other Licensing Transactions

This section will provide you with information on how to deal with a number of different licence transactions and applications, including transferring between employers; amending your licence; reapplying after allowing your licence to expire; and making an equivalency request. Choose a topic from the above banner to find detailed information on various transactions.

If you are looking for information on the education and experience requirements for a specific licence type and level or for first application forms, look under Licence Qualifications.

Continuous Licensing: All licences now issued by Council are continuous. This means that licences no longer have an expiry date. Licensees are still required to transfer licences between employers and amend licences; and instead of “renewing” a licence all licensees will have to “file” with Council each June 1st. Information on annual filings may be found under Renewals & Filings in the banner at the top of this page.

The objective in moving to a continuous licensing structure was part of Council’s overall goal to simplify the regulatory and licensing structure and make individual licensees more accountable for their actions. If you have not already done so, ensure you are familiar with your responsibilities under Council Rules. Also read the Licensee Responsibility section of this site carefully.
