CE Accreditation Program

Published October 17, 2022

Licensees can now access a list of accredited course providers (ACPs) participating in the Insurance Council’s Continuing Education (CE) Accreditation Program. The first phase of this voluntary program was launched in July accepting applications for ACPs. The list of newly accredited providers is now available on our website and will be updated on a monthly basis. Accreditation of individual courses will be open for application in early 2023.

ACPs that have applied to the CE Accreditation Program have undergone a review process by an Accreditation Committee to determine suitability for the program. ACPs are able to self-accredit their courses in accordance with the Insurance Council’s current CE Guidelines.

Licensees are assured that accredited courses offered by an Insurance Council ACP meet Insurance Council’s CE guidelines and will count towards their CE credit requirements.

The CE Accreditation Program is voluntary. Course providers do not need to be accredited to offer CE courses that qualify for CE credit. Courses offered by non-accredited course providers can still qualify for CE credits provided they meet the requirements of the CE Guidelines, but it is the licensee’s responsibility to self-assess the course to determine if it meets the technical content requirements specified in the guidelines.

A list of accredited individual courses will be available in 2023.
