Learn What’s New: CE Program Webinar

The Insurance Council of BC has released updated Continuing Education (CE) Requirements and Guidelines for insurance licensees, including adjusters, and general, life, and accident & sickness agents.

Key Updates:
  • Expanded technical content categories
  • Updated eligibility criteria
  • Clearer explanations to help licensees understand and meet their obligations
  • New licensees are no longer required to complete CE during their first licence period

Important Note: There is no change to the amount of CE credits required by licensees annually after the first licence period.  

As of June 1, 2025, the updated CE Requirements and Guidelines are in effect. Licensees must ensure they meet their annual CE requirements by May 31, 2026. No changes were made to CE requirements for travel agency employees/salespersons or Motor Vehicle Dealer’s Licensed Representatives.

The CE Program: CE Requirements & Guidelines (2025) webinar (live or recorded version) is eligible for one (1) CE credit and is complimentary, but registration is required. Attendees must attend/view the entirety of the webinar session to receive CE credit and may only claim credit for attending one session. The use of AI assistants attending on behalf of licensees is not permissible and will exempt the licensee from being able to claim CE credit.

Licensees who prefer to attend the live offering are encouraged to register early as capacity is limited. Please only register for the webinar you plan to attend to ensure spaces are available for other registrants.
