Vancouver Exam Schedule

Online Portal | The Insurance Council Online Portal is available. If you have an existing account with us, follow the steps outlined in How to Link to Your Existing Portal Account to link your existing account to the new portal. If you are new to the Insurance Council, follow the steps outlined in How to Register for a Portal Account to create one.

To write the LLQP exam in BC, a LLQP Eligibility Verification request must be submitted through the online portal for review. The Insurance Council will review your submission for completeness, verify the status of your LLQP pre-requisite course, and confirm your eligibility to write the exam, before you may schedule your exams. Please note that it may take up to 3 business days after submission to review and approve your registration. See the Exam Information and Registration Process page for information on how to submit a LLQP Eligibility Verification. Once your submission has been reviewed and approved by the Insurance Council, you may then schedule your exams. For current fee information see the Exam Schedule and Fees page.

Note: You may not need to submit a new LLQP Eligibility Verification request for review if you have previously written exams within the last year with the Insurance Council, and you have a valid LLQP prerequisite course certification. Examinees must arrive at the exam room at least 20 minutes before their scheduled exam to check-in on exam day. Late examinees will not be permitted to enter the exam room.

About Exam Schedules


As exam registration fills up quickly, not all exam dates may be available. For the most up-to date exam availability, exam registrants can log into their account on our online portal. 

Examination fees are forfeited if the examinee fails to reschedule a scheduled examination before its rescheduling deadline.

Examination fees are forfeited if the examinee fails to attend a scheduled examination. If the examinee is unable to attend a scheduled exam due to a medical reason, they may reschedule their exam by submitting a written request along with a doctor’s note to the Examinations team for consideration.
