New and Returning Council Members

The Insurance Council of British Columbia is pleased to announce the reappointment of several voting and non-voting members, as well as the appointment of new voting and non-voting members to Council. These appointments reinforce the Council’s commitment to effective governance, public protection, and the maintenance of high professional standards within British Columbia’s insurance industry.

The following non-voting members were reappointed to Council:

• Prem Binning (Life Agent – HUB Financial Inc.)
• Sheri Clay (General Agent – Axis Insurance)
• Deneen Cunningham (Life Agent – McVagh Cunningham Group Ltd.)
• Mike McClenahan (Life Agent – Benefits by Design Inc.)
• Jared Webb (Life Agent – Fernhill Financial Corporation)
• Shelby Vevers (Adjuster – Cornerstone Adjusters Inc.)

The following voting members were reappointed to Council:

• Peter Jong (Life Agent - Desjardins Financial Security)
• Cameron Copeland (General Agent – Specialty Program Group Canada)
• Gary Barker (Life Agent – PPI Solutions)

 

The following individuals were appointed to Council as a voting member:

• Nicole Booth (Adjuster – ClaimsPro LP)
• Nina de Souza Jensen (General Company Representative – Ecclesiastical Insurance)

 

The following individuals were also appointed to Council as non-voting members:

• Amber Hockin (Lay Person)
• Brendan Lyons (General Company Representative – Economical Insurance)
• Owen Watson (Adjuster – Kernaghan Adjusters)
