New and improved online portal now available

Published February 11, 2026

The Insurance Council recently launched its upgraded online portal this month. All existing users must register as a new user in the new system, where they will then be able to link to their existing account.

Please note, if the system does not provide a prompt for you to link to your previous account after entering in your personal information or you no longer have access to the email address we have on file, please contact the portal support team to assist you to avoid creating duplicate accounts and losing any previous information related to your account.

Detailed instructions on how to register can be found on the portal webpage, including  videos with step-by-step instructions.

Things to note while transferring to the new portal

Account delegates
With the system reset, account delegates will no longer have access to agency or firm account management and nominees will have to re-add users. For delegates to be granted access, they must have followed the steps above to register for a new account and link to their existing account first, and then the nominee can add the delegate access.
Authorization to represent
All requests from agencies and firms managing licensees’ authorization to represent (ATR) will be subject to review and approval by the Insurance Council.
Course registration/access
The step-by-step guide for course registration has been updated reflecting the new streamlined process. Please review the guide for instructions on how to register, pay and access courses. The new portal now has single sign-on to access courses, which means once you’re logged into the portal, you can open courses directly from the portal.
CE tracker
The CE tracker is currently unavailable as we continue to upgrade our system. We’re actively working to bring it back online as soon as possible.

Licensees are encouraged to register for a new account to familiarize themselves with the new system. We appreciate your patience as we resolve issues related to launching a new system while we are managing a higher volume of calls to assist all portal users.

If you’re unable to link to your account or have issues with logging in, the portal support team is available to help guide you: email portal@insurancecouncilofbc.com or call 604-695-2005.
