Annual filing renamed annual licence renewal

Starting this year, the Insurance Council process known as “annual filing” has been renamed “annual licence renewal.” This change was prompted by recent amendments to Insurance Council Rule 4.4.

Beyond the name change, there is no other impact on licensees’ annual process, which remains the same.

Annual licence renewal is a more descriptive term that encompasses the completion of licence requirement declarations and submitting the annual licence fee. The change aligns with standard terminology used by other regulators.

Licensees can start renewing their licence when licence renewal opens on April 1. All licence renewals must be completed online though the Insurance Council website.

This webinar is for nominees or their delegates who submit bulk payments on behalf of agencies or firms. The webinar will include the individual licence renewal section where licensees submit their declaration and how an agency or firm can pay fees on behalf of licensees.
