Applications for accredited course providers is now open

Published July 11, 2022

The Insurance Council is now accepting early applications from eligible educational institutions and insurance organizations to become an accredited continuing education (CE) course provider.

Accredited course providers (ACPs) accepted into the Insurance Council’s CE accreditation program can self-accredit their own courses following the program guidelines. As part of the new CE accreditation program that will be made available to licensees at a later date, ACPs will be listed on the Insurance Council website, as well as be approved to promote their courses as Insurance Council accredited.

Participation in the program is voluntary and courses that meet Insurance Council guidelines could still be eligible for credit, but it is up to individual licensees to seek out qualifying courses that meet their licensing requirements.

Only applications for course providers, rather than individual courses, are accepted at this time. Individual course accreditation applications will open in the coming months followed by the program launch with more information available for licensees on what courses have been approved for CE credit in 2023.
