CE Requirements and Guidelines webinar

Updated April 12, 2023

The Insurance Council is pleased to offer an information session on continuing education (CE) requirements and guidelines for licensees. The complimentary webinar aims to help licensees understand their CE requirements, guidelines and CE resources. The information session is eligible for one CE credit and will cover:

  • A summary of licensee’s CE requirements
  • An overview of the CE Guidelines and required credits for each licence class
  • CE record-keeping requirements
  • Available CE resources including Q&A’s, CE courses, CE Tracker, and the CE Accreditation Program

The recorded webinar is available online through the portal. Licensees who have previously taken this course live offered in March are not eligible to receive further credit. CE credits for courses that are retaken can only be counted towards your annual CE requirements if three years have passed (i.e., once every three years), unless the content of the course has substantially changed from when the course was taken.

The webinar is only available for a limited time during the renewal period ending August 1, 2023.

CE credits for the June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023 licence period must be completed by May 31. If you take the course after this date, the credit can be counted for the following licence period.
