Last updated February 4, 2026

To write the LLQP exam in BC, a LLQP Eligibility Verification request must be submitted through the online portal for review. The Insurance Council will review your submission for completeness, verify the status of your LLQP pre-requisite course, and confirm your eligibility to write the exam, before you may schedule your exams. Please note that it may take up to 3 business days after submission to review and approve your registration. See the Exam Information and Registration Process page for information on how to submit a LLQP Eligibility Verification. Once your submission has been reviewed and approved by the Insurance Council, you may then schedule your exams. Processing times can be found here. For current fee information see the Exam Schedule and Fees page.

Note: You may not need to submit a new LLQP Eligibility Verification request for review if you have previously written exams within the last year with the Insurance Council, and you have a valid LLQP prerequisite course certification. To schedule your exams, see Registration Process - Exams Outside of Metro Vancouver
