2025 Annual licence renewal requirements webinar

Published February 4, 2025

The Insurance Council is hosting a set of webinars to help support licensees in understanding their annual licence renewal requirements before the renewal period opens on April 1, 2025, and closes on June 1, 2025. These sessions do not introduce new requirements but provide an opportunity for licensees to review their ongoing requirements, including continuing education (CE) completion and maintaining errors and omissions (E&O) insurance—both of which must be met before renewing a licence.

Licensees can participate and claim one (1) CE credit for this session in two ways:
  • Register to attend one of two live sessions
  • Or, an on-demand recorded session which will be available in early-April until July 31, 2025 through the Insurance Council’s online portal.

Date: Thursday, March 6, 2025

The 2025 Annual Renewal Requirements Webinar (live or on-demand version) is eligible for one (1) CE credit and is complimentary, but registration is required. Attendees must attend/view the entirety of the webinar session to receive CE credit and may only claim credit for attending one session. The use of AI assistants attending on behalf of licensees is not permissible and will exempt the licensee from being able to claim CE credit.

The 2025 Annual Licence Renewal Requirements webinar will cover:
  •  A brief overview of the annual licence renewal process;
  • A summary of an individual licensee’s licence requirements and annual renewal requirements;
  • A summary of an individual licensee’s CE requirements and guidelines;
  • A summary of an individual licensee’s E&O insurance requirements; and
  • An overview of licensee resources

Licensees who prefer to attend the live offering are encouraged to register early as capacity is limited. Please only register for the webinar you plan to attend to ensure spaces are available for other registrants.

If the webinar you are interested in registering for is full, note that registration for the recorded session will be available through Insurance Council’s online portal in early April through the renewal season.

Please note, the webinar is informational and does not include a live Q&A. Questions relevant to the session topic can be submitted as part of the registration process. Webinar hosts will endeavor to incorporate commonly asked questions throughout the presentation.

To assist with this, we invite you to submit questions in advance through the registration form. While we may not be able to answer every question, we will incorporate common ones into the webinar.

Sessions (live and on-demand) include the same content. Please register for one session; credit will only be provided for attendance at one session.
