Insurance Council Course for Designated Representatives
The Insurance Council Course for Designated Representatives is a requirement for obtaining a restricted insurance agency (RIA) licence.
An RIA licence permits a business to sell specific types of insurance incidental to its primary activities.
View a list of businesses eligible for an RIA licence; more information about the
RIA licence can be found here.
Businesses interested in applying for an RIA licence are required to appoint a designated representative (DR) who is an officer, director or partner of the business (agency) or sole proprietor.
